In an interview with Hans Ulrich Obrist (2018), the artist states, “In Passages II, I use the shape of the cathode ray tube, which was square with rounded corners (also in Passages I), as the four corners. To me, those steps represented a page of a notebook. My own image, I asked them to shoot it as much as possible from the side, so that my body would look as two-dimensional as possible.”
