Slow Billie Scan (1985)
Video, 4’06”, B&W, sound.

A slow-scan transmission of art between the MIS — the São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound, in Brazil -, and Carnegie Mellon University in the United States. With the slow-scan images, the dance explores the spatial symmetry between the dancers’ movements, creating abstract or figurative figures, according to the slow transmission. The result is nonexistent body shapes, composed of two or three frames simultaneously shown in the video.
